Kate Leeson from Loughborough, Leics, offers Ginty’s story to discovering Cushy Life.ginty

"It was out of desperation that I came across Cushy Life”, says Kate, who has owned the veteran 13.2hh chestnut mare, Ginty, (pictured) for nearly 20 years.

“As her condition worsened over the years, even living in a sand paddock with only a little soaked hay and large doses of Pergolide, bute and aspirin prescribed by the vet, Ginty was suffering from repeated bouts of laminitis”, explains Kate.

“There were times when I should have put her to sleep but I couldn’t bear to give up on her”, says Kate.

Kate contacted Naturally Animals and zoopharmacognosist and iridologist, eanne Wrentmore examined Ginty.

Kate explains, “I’d used a product for hormonal mares for Ginty as it said it was useful for Cushing’s Syndrome on the back of the bottle but Leanne advised that Cushy Life would be more suitable and economical – Ginty is very suspicious if you try to feed her anything new but I need only put 5-10ml instead of 50ml on her hay as it is so concentrated.  Ginty eats it all up and it is definitely more economical.

At the time of speaking to Kate, Ginty is taking a quarter of the amount of Pergolide, a rice bran and herb diet to support her liver and digestion and just 5mls of Cushy Life twice a day and has not had a bout of laminitis for nearly a year!

Taking a holistic approach to Ginty’s care, Kate says, “We realised the laminitis was giving her contracted heels and making her foot sore but she’s gradually adapted to being unshod and wearing boots now only when the ground is very hard.

“I also discovered she’s also got specific liver problems and so Ginty has James Hart Solutions Purify in the spring and autumn to support her liver”, says Kate.

“I bought Ginty to teach me things and although I’ve not always liked what she’s taught me, I’ve certainly learnt loads”, concludes Kate.

Kate will now contact Leanne regarding the new James Hart Solutions Canine Series of supplements to help the ‘World’s Biggest Problem Dog’, Kate adding, “I just wonder if James Hart Solutions can do anything for me?”

Have just arrived back from S.I Dressage Champs and had a clinic the weekend before. This meant Chubby was yarded and then into Covered Yards for about 10 days. In the past he would have been coughing and he always when in ChCh would have a coughing fit in the test, always at canter.

So this was going to be more of a test with the time he was away. I always feed him the ground, and hand graze as much as possible. He coped really well,  but by the time he got to McLeans Island he was devolving a little bit of a cough and a discharge after been worked. I upped it to 25mls twice a day and instead of half an onion am and pm, he got a whole onion twice a day.

He never coughed once in his test, and sometimes had couple of cough when you first hopped on him, but then he was fine. He still did discharge a little after been ridden, but I just allowed him to graze a little and he was fine for the pm test.

So thank you both so much, this horse was going into early retirement because of this problem and the vets solution of ventilator, was no help for when he is competing. It is amazing how quickly using both allergy and onion kicks in?? You just have to up it and the next day he is fine.

I have been putting other people with similar problems onto this and I will tell the vets as well. Cause it does work!!

Lucy Thompson from Brockley in London got in touch with James Hart Solutions.

"I used James Hart Solutions Old Friend for my 22yr old Russian Don gelding, Kengis.  I was impressed by the level of Devil's Claw in the product as although I have used other products they are much weaker or watered down. Kengis showed less stiffness in his knees after using Old Friend. I'd give Old Friend 10/10!” says Lucy.

Thanking Lucy for her feedback James Hart Solutions extends its quality commitment.

Why not treat your cat to a natural Christmas Present this year from Naturally Animals

Catnip is a member of the mint family and a big favourite with most cats.  This is mainly due to the active ingredient of nepetalactone which copies the natural pheromone found in male cat urine. The pheromone reacts with olfactory nerves and may cause playfulness and relaxation. The effects can last for up to 15 minutes.  Cats will never overdose on catnip and will walk away when they have had enough.

 Catnip is good for:

 · Stress and nervousness when chewed

· Stimulating / happy effect when inhaled/ rolled in

May work as insect and flea repellent

Like catnip, peppermint has soothing properties with cats. Peppermint also act as natural flea repellent and so may be beneficial in    supporting your cat's flea treatment.
Peppermint has many therapeutic attributes but the main benefit of peppermint is as a digestive aid.  Peppermint is also good for:

  · Stress and nervousness when chewed

Boredom in cats, especially house cats

Place a little of the dried herbs on a towel and allow your cat the option of smelling, eating  or rolling in the herb to release the medicinal properties. Cats are very intelligent and if they do not require the aroma and  medicinal benefits they bring, they will not go near the herbs you place in their surroundings. Herbs are also great in a little sock to make as a toy and let your cat have hours of fun. dogxmasSpirulina is one of life’s wonders.  A blue-green algae, it was one of the first life forms.  It is the richest and most easily digested form of protein on the planet.  Spirulina contains a wealth of nutrients making it a whole food able to sustain life if necessary.  Its vitamins and minerals are easily absorbed by the digestive system.

Spirulina also contains chlorophyll (blood cleanser), phycoyanin (known to inhibit cancer) and also helps to halt viral infections, enhance activity in bone marrow as well as boost your dog’s immune system.

Very popular choice amongst dogs particularly those with skin, allergy related and joint disorders and those dogs that drink from muddy puddles or eat other dogs poo.
