Client Feedback SDF Tendon Injury

Posted on Thursday Nov 24 14:22:00 UTC 2011

In July 2009 my horse Dan sustained a very serious injury to the sdf tendon in his off fore, just behind the knee.  After box rest and field rest he came back into work in April this year. It was very slow, frustrating progress  and  I wondered if there was something I could give him to help the tendon cope with the strain of work.  A friend referred me to Naturally Animals and Leanne recommended I give him Devils Claw, Comfrey herb  and Tissue Tonic and also suggested I try the anti-inflammatory pain-killing leg gel which I could use instead of cold hosing after exercise.

Within a week of giving him the two supplements at full dosage and using the leg gel twice a day the leg felt 'tighter' and I was not getting the heat reaction after exercise. It has been steady progress since then and now I am trotting and cantering him in the school and just started some trotting on the road plus a few little 'hand' canters on soft ground. I am sure these products have helped the healing process and I would recommend them to anyone who has a horse with a similar injury. I will carry on using the Devil's claw on low dosage plus the Comfrey and also the brilliant leg gel!  My grateful thanks to Leanne for her help in getting my old friend back to work.
