vUnique formulation to help the horse cope with the motion and stress of travel
vSafe for competition use
vHigh concentration for efficacy and speed of action
Equine Herbals’ Travel is designed to assist the equine to cope with the stress of travelling and, particularly the motion involved in transit.
Unique to equine supplements, Travel contains human-grade liquid extracts of the herb Black Horehound (Ballota nigra) and Ginger (Zingiber officinalis) in an ethanol base at the highest (1:2) concentration available.
Black Horehound is widely used to help humans cope with the motion of travel and also has a calming action while Ginger, the classic herb to help reduce the feeling of nausea, is used both to optimise the effect of Black Horehound and for its own anti-inflammatory action and circulatory and digestive stimulant as can be compromised in transit.
Understanding the benefit Travel can be to horses in training and competition, Travel does not contain any ingredients recognised to contravene the Jockey Club, FEI or BSJA rules regarding prohibited substances.
It can, however, be fed in conjunction with other calming supplements such as EquiCalm for the horse due to compete within 36hrs of travel, or V-Calm for those outside such a competition time scale.
Typically, Travel should be introduced into a horse’s feed at each meal-time for 24hours prior to Travel and fed during the journey.
Under normal circumstances and within the recommended ration, Travel should be quite safe to use long term if required.
"I would like to recommend to anyone who has a horse that is a reluctant loader and in particular performs poorly after travelling to try the Equine Herbals Travel product.
One of my horses won or placed at all the close tracks but whenever we went further afield her performance was terrible always finishing towards the back.
After using Travel she was in the money. I would have never believed a horse suffered motion sickness but obviously they do."

"My daughter's pony had always been difficult to load, never ate while travelling and on arrival he seemed duller than when he was at home. He often wouldn't eat for sometime.
After using Travel we had a different pony when we arrived but it did take a few outings before he believed us the float was no longer nasty. Great Product!!!"
