Dog Iridology

The science of canine and feline iridology is rapidly growing and Catherine is leading this research in the UK.

Iridology is the analysis of the coloured part of the eye (the iris). Iridology can be used as a nutritional guide and can detect a wealth of information that can assist an owner in making appropriate management decisions for their horse / dog / cat.

As with all complimentary therapies, iridologists are not intended to substitute medical or veterinary advice or treatment. If you have any health concerns regarding your animal you should always consult your Veterinary Surgeon.

You may be wondering, what is Iridology? Iridology is the science of analyzing the delicate structures of the iris (the coloured part) of the eye. This ancient practice of assessing current health conditions in the body via the analysis of the iris can be used as a nutritional guide and can detect a wealth of information that can assist an owner in making appropriate management decisions for their horse / dog / cat. It also provides valuable information in helping the practitioner or owner assess where to start when offering remedies for self-selection and what remedies might be appropriate to offer for ongoing support for an individual animal once their immediate needs have been addressed.

Iridology is a tool to assess the integrity of the tissues in the body, (your body's constitution), inherent weaknesses and inherent strengths. By knowing the inherited weaknesses of your animal(s), you can do much to prevent problems developing in a particular area, by supporting 'weak' areas early enough.

The field of Iridology and provides another tool for us to strengthen and support the body, recognising the uniqueness of each individual animal. An iridology consult is completely stress free and non-invasive, the practitioner simply uses a torch and magnifying glass, and may take high resolution pictures using a customised camera, for further analysis.

They say the eyes are the windows of the soul - and how true this is. Catherine is a member of a small group of complementary therapist using the science of Animal Iridology to help observing past and present imbalances, injury and inherited behavioural traits through the iris of a dog or cats eye. This unique therapy is widely practiced in human medicine around the globe (unfortunately not widely in the UK), and provides a wealth of invaluable information to any animal owner. It can often provide answers when all else has failed to find the root cause of an imbalance / behavioural complaint.

Not only can Catherine help to analyse a dog or a cat's health balance and behaviour issues through iridology, she can then use her range of other therapies and natural products to nutritionally support and maintain your animal.

As with all complimentary therapies, iridologists are not intended to substitute medical or veterinary advice or treatment. If you have any health concerns regarding your animal you should always consult your Veterinary Surgeon.

Whilst not a legal requirement to ask a vet's permission to hold an Applied Zoopharmacognosy or Iridology consult with your animal, owners will be advised that their vet should be informed both of the animals condition and of the consultation. This is a professional courtesy and also supports the owners duty of care and ensures that an animal will not miss out on any appropriate veterinary care. We abide by the Ingraham Academy of Zoopharmacognosy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct at all times. As with all complementary therapists, we work with the veterinary surgeons act which requires the vet to be aware of their presence for Red Light Therapy.
